World Champion not likely to play in Denmark Super Series

Danish young gun Victor Axelsen surprised the world by claiming the first ever non-asian World Junior Championship in men's single.
Still he's not able to participate in the Denmark Super Series hosted by his native city Odense.

It was by all means a fairy tale when Axelsen, 16 years old at the time, won the gold medal at the World Junior Championship in 2010 in Mexico city.
And without any doubt whatsoever he, even at his young age, would be able to draw a significant audience to the preliminary rounds of the Denmark Super Series.

But he's not allowed to participate.

Once again it's obvious that the BWF should introduce the use of Wild Cards in the Super Series.
It's hilarious to this signature that players who potentially brings tremendous press coverage to the events, or established stars suffering long lasting injuries is excluded from participating in the Super Series if they do not live up to the required world ranking acces limit.

In ladies singles Nanna Brosolat, injured for 18 months following her breakthrough tournament at the All England, is so far down the list of reserves that participation seems highly unlikely.
And so again the tournament, the event, the sponsors, the media and the fans are deprived of an interesting story in a sport that desperately needs all media coverage possible.

BWF ....it goes without saying, this is simply not good enough.

Welcome to Denmark Super Series 2010

Last year we promised to be back. Now we're here to keep our promise.

The Worlds in Paris has finished and we have a bunch of chinese World Champions. Hopefully they dare to come to the Fairytale City of Odense to give the rest of the world a rematch.

As we follow the Super Series in China and Japan the entries starts coming in for Denmark Super Series, and we have great expectation for the 2010 edition.

We're gonna blog, we're gonna post on our YouTube channel, and we're gonna give you live streaming with the best matches and interesting comments and interview.
